Llama Trek:

A recreational activity that will allow you to really see the beauty of this area is llama hiking. With advance reservations, Bob and Carolyn Bane of Virginia Highland Llamas will lead you and your party, along with a herd of llamas, up Big Walker's old Appalachian Trail section. On special saddles, the llamas will carry a picnic lunch you can enjoy after hiking through lush green meadows up to a beautiful vista.

The hike is about three hours up and two and a half hours down. All you need is sturdy footwear, a camera and raingear. Everything else is furnished. For more information or reservations call (540) 688-4464.
